At Heritage Nursing Agency, our care teams are composed of various healthcare professionals who collaborate to provide comprehensive and patient-centered care. Each member of the team plays a unique role and brings specific expertise to ensure optimal healthcare outcomes. Here are some common roles within our nursing care teams:
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)
Certified nursing assistants work closely with the nursing staff to provide hands-on care to patients. They assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding. CNAs also measure and record vital signs, assist with mobility and transfers, and support patient comfort and well-being.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Licensed practical nurses or licensed vocational nurses work under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians. They provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, dressing wounds, and assisting with activities of daily living. LPNs/LVNs also collaborate with the healthcare team and contribute to the overall delivery of patient care.
Registered Nurse (RN)
Registered nurses are responsible for coordinating and overseeing patient care. They assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, perform procedures, and provide patient education. RNs also collaborate with other healthcare professionals, supervise nursing staff, and ensure the overall coordination and quality of care.
